How I can help

Looking after mum

I’d like to be there for you when you get home (or even months later, whenever you’re ready). To nurture and care for you for; so that you in turn can care for your baby and family.

I can help support the healing process post birth and work on any symptoms you experience. I do this by bringing the ancient Malay/Indo/Chinese ritual of Jamu to the sanctuary of your home.

Massaging bub

I can also help by teaching you to massage and connect with your baby, either within group sessions or one on one. Massage has many health benefits for your baby, as well as being an ideal opportunity to connect and bond with your new baby.

Already a trained massage therapist (in Swedish, Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology) I trained as a Paediatric Massage Consultant following my son’s birth. During my PMC training, I chose reflux in babies as my key focus and researched maternal anxiety. This training and my personal journey gave me a deep understanding of the connections between maternal anxiety and reflux, and how massage can help. Learning infant massage can help manage a variety of symptoms within yourself as a mother and with your baby.

And for those of you out there who don’t know what to buy as a gift – family members, girlfriends, husbands, work colleagues and baby shower groups – I can assist you with beautiful gift certificates. Give the mum-to-be the Jamu Ritual of binding, wrapping and massage, or training in baby massage. Whether you live locally or abroad, away from your loved ones, I would be happy to assist.
